The bacon or ham, egg, and cheese sandwich is a high-ranking member of the Long Island-centric food club judging by responses to a Daily Voice question to members of the Long Island Food & Drink and Foodies of Long Island food groups on Facebook. 

Here are five foods mentioned.

Bacon, egg, and cheese

"Bacon, egg and cheese, salt, pepper, ketchup," responded Hayley Valla in a post on the Food & Drink Facebook page.

Kim Demanuel, in a post on the page said, "Ham, egg, and cheese on a roll w/ pepper" and added, "bagels, pizza, these things anywhere else are not like Long Island."

"Bacon egg and cheese because there is nothing better in the morning," posted Gina McMillon in the food group conversation

Chuck Rodriguez replied to the comment similarly. "Baconeggandcheesesaltpepperketchuptomatoanhotsauseonarollwithalargecoffee... all one word."

Abigail Marie Bacon on the food group's page posted her one-word liner, "eggandcheese saltnopeppernoketchuponaneggbagel"

Bagels

"Bagels, pizza and bacon, egg and cheese sandwich," says Lisa Scarantino Lalli, adding to the Facebook conversation.

John Iaria posted this response on the same page, "Pizza, breakfast, sandwiches, and bagels. All staples for not only Long Islanders but all New Yorkers. You will not find quality in any other state."

"Bagels, pizza, the best in the country, "said Shannon Rodriguez, a responder to the question in the group chat.

Pizza

"Pizza," says Jennifer Robin on Long Island Food & Drink on Facebook.

"Pizza! All the way," Lizette Braat responded on the group's page.

Frank Biscardi posted this view for the group chat, "Long Island is the best. All type of food. The greatest. My favorite is pizza."

Corn

"Roasted corn. No explanation is necessary. Imao," said Jessica Nicole who also posted, "lobster," on Long Island Food & Drink's Facebook page.

Helene Halit Zell said "Long Island sweet corn," joining the chat.

Chicken cutlets

"Chicken cutlets" posted Anna Pirog, on Long Island Food & Drink's page on Facebook.

On the Foodies of Long Island page, Nancy Miller Twaits explained why they are a favorite. "It's a food that can go with anything, pasta, veggies. It’s easy to make and it’s delicious. You can have it plain or Parmesan. It’s a very versatile meal. The next day you can have it on a sandwich or eat it cold or heat it up. So many ways of having it."

Christina Rylander in the same group chat said, "All I know is we love chicken cutlets and most people I know do as well."
